Title: Marketing Coordinator
Area: Junior Achievement of Northern New England (Greater Boston)
Reports to: Director of Development Operations

Impact

Junior Achievement of Greater Boston (JA) seeks a creative and resourceful Marketing Coordinator to lead the organization’s overall marketing strategy and execution, including brand management, e-newsletters, external communications, social media, press releases, website updates, and collateral design. A successful candidate will be highly organized, motivated, collaborative, assertive, and comfortable taking the lead with external partners. This position works closely with the Development and Programs teams and reports to the Director of Development Operations.

This is a full-time position (exempt; $47k-$57k) and is currently remote except for occasional meetings and events, which incumbent will be expected to attend. The Marketing Coordinator will be supplied with a laptop and additional equipment to be able to comfortably work remotely. Must have reliable internet. Shared office space and conference rooms are available at JA’s Innovation Center at RSM at 80 City Square in the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ownership of communications and brand plan in alignment with strategic vision and JA USA
• Spearhead and execute on marketing strategy
• Communicate clearly and effectively with external partners via bi-monthly e-newsletter and social media while aligning to best practices and responding to analytics. Maintain email lists and social channels
• Write and distribute press releases
• Collaborate closely with colleagues to maintain accurate and up-to-date website
• Lead creation of annual impact report, including design and content

General Duties
• Maintain accurate records and notes in our constituent database (BCRM) and Asana (project management tool). Track personal interactions, solicitations, and follow-up tasks, communicating next steps to the team as required
• Collaborate with the development team to identify prospective sponsors and partners
• Collaborate on additional events including JA Inspire
• Lend a hand with board meetings, associate board meetings and events
• Other duties as required

Qualifications (required)

• A minimum of 2-5 years of successful experience in marketing, or a similar background
• Must be a strong writer, and have excellent oral and presentation skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills; keen attention to detail and diligent follow through a must
• Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently while sticking to a fast-paced strategy plan
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders, as well as independently; experience with and ability to work remotely
• Must have experience in coordinating, managing, problem-solving, and executing projects independently
• Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
• Knowledge and experience with a CRM system, preferably Blackbaud (e.g. Raiser’s Edge), and familiarity with Asana a plus
• Design software experience such as Photoshop and other Adobe applications and platforms, Canva, etc. photography/videography experience is a plus
• Must have proficiency in social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, WordPress. Familiarity with social media tools and analytics

Junior Achievement of Greater Boston (JA) seeks a creative and resourceful Events Coordinator to plan, manage, market, and execute our fundraising events and development initiatives: Stock Market Challenge, JA Golf Classic, and Spirit of JA Celebration. A successful candidate will be highly organized, motivated, collaborative, assertive, and comfortable taking the lead with external partners. This position works closely with the entire Development team and will report to the Director of Development Operations.

Event Specific
• Manage all phases of planning and execution to ensure successful events
• Organize and lead bi-weekly event committee meetings with appropriate follow-ups
• Work closely with Director of Development Operations and Vice President of Development to track potential, pending, and confirmed sponsors, including delivery of sponsorship benefits
• Work closely with the Marketing Coordinator to track PR, marketing, and recognition of the event sponsors
• Lead relationships with vendors including venue, tech, and catering, including contract/agreement for management’s approval
• Track event budget, expenses, and manage receipts
• Lead sponsorship communications and track RSVPs and attendance
• Lead event execution and direct JA team, partners, volunteers, and vendors day-of

Impact

Junior Achievement of Greater Boston (JA) seeks a Director of Education (DoE) to lead a team of four Education Managers. This position requires a passion for transforming students’ lives through education, experience leading a team, and strong relationship building. The DoE will be responsible for setting the strategy and goals for all things related to serving students who participate in JA’s offerings. A successful candidate will be highly organized, able to successfully manage people in a way that motivates and brings out the best in them, believes passionately in educational partnerships within underserved communities, is motivated, creative, innovative, and collaborative. JA’s current impact communities are Boston, Brockton, Chelsea, Lawrence, Lowell, Lynn, Quincy, Somerville, and Worcester. Most school partnerships are within these communities. This position works closely with the Development, Operations, and JA Career Pathway for Alumni teams.

This is a full-time position (exempt; $85k-%100k) and is currently remote except for in-person school meetings and some JA events, which all staff are expected to attend. The Director of Education will be supplied with a laptop and monitor. Must have reliable internet. Must have reliable access to a vehicle or be able to commute to sites without issue. Some evening work is occasionally required. Shared office space is available at JA’s Innovation Center @ RSM at 80 City Square in the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston.

Primary Responsibilities:

• With COO, and in line with JA’s overall strategy, create annual goals related to desired educational program outcomes
• Lead Education Team in fulfilling educational goals
• Continue moving toward the goal of 100% of partner schools being “JA Certified Schools” by Fall 2023, including having a partnership agreement signed
• Create a clear and manageable way for Education Managers to collect, organize, and share program data
• Ensure record-keeping is thorough, error-free, and up-to-date, inclusive of capturing and entering all appropriate school, teacher, and volunteer data into BCRM, JA’s customized customer relationship management platform by all Education Managers
• Possess an unwavering focus on the Education Team providing excellent customer service to a wide range of stakeholders: students, educators, school administrators, corporate employees, and executives
• Gain an expert understanding of JA’s curriculum, including alignment with MA & NH standards and frameworks
• Work in collaboration with Development, Operations, and Marketing Teams to meet goals and fulfill funding obligations
• Collaborate with Development Team to create education goals for grant proposals and provide information for grant reports
• Attend and participate in JA’s special events, board meetings, and other meetings or events

Qualifications (required)

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate degree acceptable
• Minimum five years’ work experience, including time spent managing and inspiring other people
• Strong familiarity with our impact communities: Boston, Brockton, Chelsea, Lawrence, Lowell, Lynn, Quincy, Somerville, and Worcester
• Desire to bring creativity and innovation to the role
• Strong organizational and planning skills with impeccable follow through
• Strategic, detail-oriented, and high caliber work ethic is a must
• Ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment
• Polished presentation style, executive presence, and strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills

Title: Education Manager, High School Partnerships

Impact

Junior Achievement of Greater Boston (JA) seeks an Education Manager (EM) for High School Partnerships. This position requires a passion for transforming students’ lives through education, an ability to be a self-starter, and strong relationship building with an emphasis on project management skills. The EM will be responsible for all high school partnerships in a portion of JA’s impact communities. JA’s current impact communities are Boston, Brockton, Chelsea, Lawrence, Lowell, Lynn, Quincy, Somerville, and Worcester. The division of communities amongst the two EMs for High School Partnerships will happen during the summer of 2022. A successful candidate will be highly organized, able to successfully manage multiple projects with competing timelines, motivated, creative, innovative, collaborative, and comfortable leading partnerships. This position works closely with the entire Education team, which is comprised of Education Managers for High School Partnerships (2) and Middle School Partnerships (1) and will report to the Vice President of Programs.

This is a full-time position (exempt; $55k-$65k) and is currently remote except for in-person school meetings and some JA events, which all staff are expected to attend. The Education Manager will be supplied with a laptop and monitor. Must have reliable internet. Must have reliable access to a vehicle or be able to commute to sites without issue. Shared office space is available at JA’s Innovation Center at RSM at 80 City Square in the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, expand, and maintain high school partnerships with emphasis on JA Certified Schools in our impact communities.
~ Create partnership plan and subsequent JA Certified School Agreement with high schools in assigned impact communities
~ Become an expert in JA’s high school programs and curriculum
~ Support teachers and volunteers to ensure quality of programs through training, regular phone calls, and in-person class visits
~ Ensure data is collected, organized, and shared with appropriate stakeholders, including JA staff
~ Manage all record-keeping, including appropriate school, teacher, and volunteer data is captured and entered in BCRM in a timely manner
• Conduct work to produce high quality experiences and outcomes for all partners both internally and externally through attention to detail, a high level of organization and communication, and strategic, thoughtful, and innovative planning and implementation
• Train volunteers and partners to deliver JA programs effectively and enthusiastically
• Possess an unwavering focus on providing excellent customer service to a wide range of stakeholders: educators, school administrators, corporate employees, and executives
• Work in collaboration with Development, Marketing, and Programs Teams to meet goals and fulfill funding obligations
• Collaborate with Development to complete grant proposals and grant reports
• Enthusiastically take on other assigned projects as necessary
• Support organization at special events, board meetings, and other meetings or events

Qualifications (required)

• Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalents, preferred
• Minimum three years’ experience in a project management or event planning role
